Katherine Yasi

Katherine has always been driven by a desire to help others succeed. Studying Management and Communication during her undergrad years, Katherine was able to put her curiosity to good use by learning across a broad spectrum of academic focus areas. Some of her favorite classes pertained to storytelling, social justice, management theory, marketing campaign strategy, media education, and business systems and operations. 

Graduating from UMass Amherst in 2011, Katherine entered the workforce and quickly realized that she wanted to join the growing tech community in Boston. After attending the 2nd ever cohort of Boston Startup School (associated with TechStars at the time), she found herself at HubSpot where she began her career in tech as a Support Engineer.  

Katherine would stay at HubSpot for just over 4.5 years and experienced a few career highlights including witnessing their IPO in 2014, was promoted multiple times within the Customer Success organization including being promoted into a management position. She was also part of the inaugural Services expat team sent to APAC region based in Sydney, Australia for a 6 month assignment in 2015. For the last 2 years of her tenure at HubSpot, Katherine managed an Implementation team of 10 direct reports and contributed to several programs related to the Implementation team. 

In 2018, Katherine joined a small startup in Boston called Zaius where she built out the Customer Support function from a team of one to four by the end of her tenure. She also led the Onboarding and Platform Architect teams who worked closely with customers to get them integrated and comfortable with Zaius' robust CRM marketing automation platform for business to consumer brands. Zaius raised a $30M Series B funding round in April 2018 and the company headcount doubled in one year. 

In February 2019, Katherine left Zaius to fulfill a lifelong personal goal of taking an extended solo travel trip where she traveled to 6 countries in Europe over a period of 35 days. 

After returning to Boston, Katherine began her job search and has also begun to explore freelance opportunities as a career coach and consultant. She begins her new role at Boston company, Toast, as a Senior Regional Manager of Restaurant Success in May 2019.
